Meta-Plot Event #1 OOC Info Post
Hey guys, Arc here to tell you a little bit about the first event in the meta-plot, happening within a few days!
I want a large part of it to be a surprise, but due to some elements in the event, I'd rather not actually blindside you guys too much.
This is a Combat Optional Event. What this means is that a large part of the event is combat-oriented, but it is OPTIONAL, as all events are. Your character does not have to fight and could help get other ponies to safety or do other things to help the ponies that are in combat.
Characters without combat potential can still fight! There will be a way for them to attain some fighting potential, a la Super Sentai/Power Rangers for this particular fight. There is a limited number available for this, first come first serve! There are five slots open for this. Please denote your interest in this OOC post if your character cannot normally fight and wants to.
If you are disturbed by the possibility of your character suddenly losing consciousness and seeing strange visions, please let me know via this post. Your character can opt out of this if you'd like!
This event will take place both in Canterlot and Ponyville. The investigation that SciTwi is heading for the strange machine in Canterlot is tied to this event, but there will be some unrest in Ponyville as well, so as long as your character is in either of these places when the event happens, you are good to go!

Coco will help ponies get to safety since she doesn't have her Pinky Catch with her (I could retcon her to having it back due to me misunderstanding the rule, but I think it might be better for her to have to earn it back.)
I'm okay with either of them losing consciousness and having weird visions.
